Lojas Renner S.A. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported revenue was BRL 3,504.08 million compared to BRL 3,626.34 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 229.7 million compared to BRL 360.39 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.2404 compared to BRL 0.3698 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.2396 compared to BRL 0.3686 a year ago.
For the six months, revenue was BRL 6,279.38 million compared to BRL 6,239.36 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 276.47 million compared to BRL 552.02 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.2881 compared to BRL 0.564 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.2872 compared to BRL 0.5623 a year ago.
Lojas Renner S.A. specializes in the retail distribution of clothes and accessories for men, women and children. Gross sales break down by activity as follows:
- sale of products (90.4%): clothes, lingerie, shoes, bags, accessories, perfumes, cosmetic products, etc.;
- financial products (9.6%).
At the end of 2021, the marketing of the products is ensured through a network of 636 stores under the Renner (404), Camicado (119), Youcom (104) and Ashua (9) names in Brazil, and through Internet.
