Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited the TATNEFT Company's crude oil refinery complex in Nizhnekamsk.

During the visit, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was accompanied by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Roman Sklyar, First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Nail Maganov, General Director of TATNEFT Company, Ilshat Salakhov, General Director of TANECO.

The information about the potential of TATNEFT was presented to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, as well as that about the opportunities for developing further cooperation with companies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As of this time, the KamaTyresKZ enterprise (a joint venture of OOO Tatneft-Neftekhim Management Company and OOO AllurTyres) had been established and a plant's construction was underway for the production of passenger, light truck and commercial truck SSC tyres, which will be supplied to the domestic and foreign markets of Kazakhstan. Agreements and roadmaps had been signed with KazMunayGas oil company on the development of joint projects in the field of geological exploration and development of crude oil fields, and a joint venture was established for the production of butadiene rubbers.

Representatives of Kazakhstan got acquainted with the activities of the modern TANECO refinery complex, which has 28 units and about yields about 30 types of popular oil products. TANECO is currently developing the latest technologies for processing heavy oil residues, works on application of technological solutions for processing the waste and secondary raw materials. The complex has its own automated control system for oil refining processes. The engineering competencies of TATNEFT make it possible to implement projects in the petrochemical and oil refining industries on a turnkey basis.

The Company has created and is developing a culture of sustainable land use, which includes the development and implementation of the latest technologies that allow enhancing oil recovery and reducing the burden on the environment, as well as for secondary use of natural resources, environmental protection and compensation measures.

TATNEFT demonstrated the Company's experience and capabilities in the production of composite materials. Fiberglass products are gaining more and more popularity both in terms of favorable pricing and quality characteristics. A low carbon footprint in the production of composite materials is especially relevant in the context of the ESG agenda.

The Company forms a territory for sustainable development, creates an ecosystem for the development of science, education, medicine, sports and culture on the basis of social partnership and social investment in the region of its operations. The Company presented to the guests a system for training engineering personnel of a new generation, based on the built-up vertical of education and training: from kindergarten to the university level. The Higher School of Oil in the form of the International Level Campus is being created on the basis of the Almetyevsk State Petroleum Institute (AGNI). All training programs will include real experience in solving production problems, digital competencies, critical, economic and environmental thinking.

The agreements signed between the AGNI and the Geological Exploration College of the Education Department of the East Kazakhstan Regional Akimat, as well as between TATNEFT and the college, will allow for the joint development and implementation of continuing "College-University" education programs.

The visit of Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev will be followed by considering the issues of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation, which will contribute to the strengthening of the Eurasian economic partnership between Russia and Kazakhstan.
