Unibap AB (publ) have now delivered a "super-satellite-computer" to FMV (Swedish Defence Materiel Administration). The Edge Computer will be used in the joint Swedish and Danish defence demonstrator project "Bifrost", with the objective of performing tests of AI applications in space. Geopolitics is putting focus on space as a critical domain for creating fast actionable information for surveillance and intelligence purposes.

Edge computing in space is a critical enabler for these efforts. As recently communicated by the Swedish Airforce, the company has now delivered a "super-satellite-computer" to the space project Bifrost, of which Unibap is proud to be part of. Bifrost is a collaboration between Swedish FMV (Swedish Defence Materiel Administration) and Danish FMI (Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization), with the objective of demonstrating AI applications in space.
