(Alliance News) - BPER Banca Spa has announced that Fitch Ratings has upgraded the bank's long-term deposit rating to 'A-' from 'BBB+', while affirming the short-term deposit rating at 'F2'.
The agency explained that the decision is part of a broader review involving several issuers and is linked to the adoption of a new assessment methodology. This framework recognizes greater protection for deposits in Italy due to 'depositor preference', in addition to the buffers resulting from regulatory requirements and applicable resolution strategies.
