(Alliance News) - Ferrari NV announced on Monday that it repurchased 71,353 of its own ordinary shares between May 11 and May 15 on the Italian stock exchange.

The shares were acquired at an average unit price of EUR279.8633, for a total consideration of nearly EUR20 million.

During the same period, the Prancing Horse company acquired 25,974 of its own ordinary shares on the New York Stock Exchange. The US market shares were purchased at an average unit price of USD327.2387, for a total value of nearly USD8.5 million, equivalent to approximately EUR7.3 million.

As of May 15, the company held 17.7 million treasury shares, net of shares assigned under the company's equity incentive plan, representing approximately 9.1% of the total issued ordinary shares.

Ferrari shares are trading down 0.8% at EUR277.05 per share.
