Shares of banks and other financial institutions rose as private-credit fears subsided somewhat.

Blue Owl shares fell after credit-ratings agency Moody's lowered its outlook for the money manager's flagship Blue Owl Credit Income fund to negative from stable, citing difficulty stemming a growing outflow of capital.

Shares of rivals such as Blackstone and KKR rose.
