(Alliance News) - Poste Italiane Spa announced Friday that its subsidiary Poste Logistics has signed a strategic agreement with Benetton Logistics to establish the joint venture "Logistic 360".

The agreement will bolster the Castrette di Villorba fashion hub, expanding the logistics center's operational capacity to include other product sectors. The project stems from the collaboration between Poste Italiane and Edizione.

By attracting new clients and expanding into other industries, the partnership between Poste Italiane and Benetton Group aims to increase the infrastructure's operational capacity, supported by investments in technology and AI-based solutions.

The transaction will be finalized following notification to the Italian Competition Authority for the necessary regulatory approvals.

Poste Italiane shares were up 1.5% at EUR22.41 per share.
