Sony Group and Honda Motor are scaling down its joint venture operations, saying it would be difficult to bring products and services to the market.

Sony and Honda said Tuesday that all employees at its car-making joint venture are expected to be reassigned to their parent companies and related entities.

Sony and Honda in March canceled the development and sale of an electric sedan called the Afeela 1, which was previously set to debut in California late this year.
