Standard Chartered appointed Manus Costello as group chief financial officer, months after the surprise departure of Diego De Giorgi, who had been seen as a front-runner to succeed the bank's longtime chief executive.
Costello is currently head of investor relations at the London-based bank and a veteran in equity research, the bank said in a statement Monday.
De Giorgi left StanChart in February to join U.S. asset-management firm Apollo Global Management.
Meanwhile, StanChart named Tanuj Kapilashrami as group chief operating officer.
