Finnish engineering giant Wärtsilä Gas Solutions is set to deliver cargo handling and fuel supply systems for four LNG bunkering vessels. The ships, ordered by GSX Energy, are being constructed at the Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering shipyard in China.

Two orders were booked in the first quarter and two in the second quarter of 2024. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in December. According to the company, demand is being driven by the increasing adoption of LNG as a marine fuel, with over 1,150 LNG dual-fuel vessels expected to be in operation globally by 2028.
