UBS rates BASF a 'Buy' - Target 59 euros

ZURICH (dpa-AFX Broker) - The major Swiss bank UBS has upgraded its rating for BASF to "Buy" with a target price of 59 euros following preliminary figures for the fourth quarter. A strong free cash flow contrasted with missed expectations for operating profit (EBIT), analyst Samuel Perry wrote in a study published on Friday. Meanwhile, the expert emphasized his view that the fourth quarter marks the low point for the chemical group. His Buy recommendation is based on the expectation of a longer-term cyclical earnings recovery./tih/gl
