Calamos Convertible Opportunities and Income Fund (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objective is to provide total return through a combination of capital appreciation and current income. The Fund invests at least 80% of its managed assets in a diversified portfolio of convertible securities and non-convertible income securities. The Fund may invest in a diversified portfolio of convertible securities and high-yield bonds. The Fund may also invest in synthetic convertible instruments created by third parties, typically investment banks. The Fund holds investments in a range of sectors, such as information technology, communication services, healthcare, financials, energy, industrials, utilities, materials, real estate, consumer staples and other.
