Northwestern University has awarded a catering contract to Compass Group to offer on-campus dining services. Starting this autumn, Compass Group will leverage its individual units to offer on-campus dining services through a premier foodservice programme across the Evanston and Chicago campuses and the university's athletic venues. The individual units of the catering services company are Chartwells Higher Education, FLIK, Canteen, Levy and Bon. Chartwells Higher Education will be responsible for offering service to campus dining, student affairs retail outlets, Chicago campus and campus-wide catering. FLIK will oversee retail at Kellogg's Global Hub and dining at the Kellogg School of Management's Allen Centre, whereas Canteen will install and offer vending services. Levy will offer premium hospitality, training table services and athletics concessions, while Bon AppÃtit will be responsible for culinary and sustainability programmes at the Northwestern campus. As part of the contract, Compass Group will continue all the necessary hourly associates currently working at the university helping to offer food and services. Prior to awarding the contract to Compass Group, the university reviewed catering proposals from two other companies, Sodexo and Aramark, which are currently offering foodservice on campus.
