mporium Group plc announced a number of changes to the Board as the company continues to win new business for its IMPACT product. After nearly two intensive years as Chairman throughout the Group's crucial foundation phase, Nigel Walder is leaving the Board. Chief Executive Officer Barry Moat is taking the role of Executive Chairman, while Nelius De Groot is joining the Board as Chief Executive Officer after two years as Chief Operating Officer.

All of these changes take place with immediate effect. Richard Gordon, who provided essential continuity as Finance Director while mporium was established within the listing of a predecessor company, will be leaving at the end of September, to focus on other business interests. Nelius has brought mporium the benefit of a deep technology background and 25 years of experience in Financial Services.

This experience has been critical to the development of the IMPACT product, which uses event-driven technology and real-time execution to deliver advertising campaign performance. After starting his career as a software developer at Logica plc, Nelius moved to Barclays de Zoete Wedd, then Swiss Bank Corporation and in 1997 to Deutsche Bank. During almost 18 years at Deutsche Bank, Nelius held a wide range of senior management positions in both the Global Markets and Transaction Banking businesses in London and New York.

His final role prior to joining mporium was as Deutsche Bank's Interim Chief Information Officer for Corporate Banking & Securities and co-Head of Global Technology & Operations, CB&S.
