Philip Morris International : Names Suzanne Rich Folsom General Counsel

Philip Morris International Inc. on Thursday said it named Suzanne Rich Folsom senior vice president and general counsel, effective July 1.

The tobacco company said Ms. Folsom, who will be based in Lausanne, Switzerland, succeeds Marc Firestone, who is retiring later this year.

Philip Morris said Ms. Folsom joins from Manatt Phelps & Phillips LLP, where she co-chaired the law firm's investigations, compliance and strategic response group.

The company said Mr. Firestone, who has been president of external affairs and general counsel since January 2018, will continue to lead its external-affairs function until a successor is named.
