Renault is the 2nd biggest automotive constructor in France. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- sale of vehicles (94.4%): nearly 3.9 million individual and utility vehicles sold in 2018 (2.5 million under the Renault brand, 700,798 under the Dacia brand, 398,282 under the Lada brand, 165,603 under the Jinbei & Huasong brand, 84,954 under the Renault Samsung brand and 2,091 under the Alpine brand);
- services (5.6%): financing services for vehicle sales (purchasing, renting, leasing, etc.; RCI Banque) and related services (maintenance, warranty extension, assistance, etc.).
At the end of 2018, the group had 36 industrial sites and 12,700 points of sale worldwide.
Net sales break down geographically as follows: France (23.6%), Europe (40.3%), Eurasia (13.1%), Americas (8.2%), Asia/Pacific (8%) and Africa/India/Middle East (6.8%).
