Facebook parent Meta Platforms and Unity Software are expanding their long-running partnership where Unity's game-development tools will continue to support Meta's virtual reality headsets.

The two companies said Wednesday that they have renewed and extended their multi-year platform support and enterprise agreement on virtual reality.

Unity is a game development-technology company that makes the Unity engine, widely used for creating video games and 3D content for different platforms, including Meta's VR headsets.

Under the terms of the agreement, Unity will continue to provide support for Meta's VR platform.
