BLS AG Stock

BLS AG is a Switzerland-based company engaged in the provision of rail-based transportation services. The Company's main activities comprise the provision of passenger transportation services within the Bernese metropolitan area, as well as freight traffic through the Alps. The Company is also engaged in the provision of car transportation services in the Loetschberg region, and the provision of motorboat services on the Thun and Brienz lakes. In addition, BLS AG operates maintenance workshops for its own rolling stock, as well as it also provides engineering support services. As of December 31, 2011, the Company owned such subsidiaries as BLS Cargo AG and Busland AG, as well as it also held minor stakes in such entities as BLS Netz AG, RAlpin AG and Trasse Schweiz AG.
