Nearly 1000 of our Diageo North America employees gave back to communities where our company operates through a series of projects and events across the region. On one day alone, more than 300 employees from our New York City and Norwalk, Connecticut offices took part in the second annual Diageo Community Activity and Relief Efforts ('Diageo CAREs') day through a series of projects aimed at restoration and beautification of Lower Manhattan. The location holds particular significance after our announcement earlier this year that we plan to relocate our primary North America office location to the area.

To mobilize hundreds of our employees in the local New York and Connecticut area, we partnered with three local organizations to make a greater impact. Volunteers with one of the projects assisted in the restoration of historic buildings on New York City's Governors Island, working to clean, paint and garden. A different team of employee volunteers worked on horticulture and painting projects at multiple park spaces in Manhattan. And a third volunteer team helped build oyster reefs, prepare shells for baby oysters and monitor biodiversity.
