Schneider Electric S.E. (ENXTPA:SU) and Octopus Energy Group Limited agreed to acquire an unknown majority stake in Uplight, Inc. on March 24, 2026. Uplight will continue to operate as an independent platform. Schneider will remain as a significant minority partner.
The transaction is subject to approval by regulatory board / committee and is expected to complete later this year. As of May 19, 2026, the European Commission approved the acquisition of joint control of Uplight, Inc. by Octopus Energy Group Limited and Schneider Electric S.E. under the EU Merger Regulation.
