(Alliance News) - Seco Spa announced Monday that it has extended its collaboration with Hitachi Energy.

Following an initial one-year phase focused on the development and integration of the Clea framework, Hitachi Energy has signed a multi-year agreement with Seco to adopt the solution as a key element in the evolution of its Energy Connect platform, according to a company press release.

Hitachi Energy's industrial IoT platform for data acquisition and ingestion will integrate the Clea software framework to support secure data transfer and lifecycle management for connected devices.

As Hitachi Energy works to consolidate its existing digital platforms into a single environment designed for the energy sector, the solution will enable real-time collection, aggregation, and processing of data from distributed assets – such as transformers, battery energy storage systems, and electric vehicle charging stations – in a secure, reliable, and cost-efficient manner.

The platform supports both cloud and on-premises deployments, offering flexibility across diverse operating environments. Advanced lifecycle management capabilities allow for optimal asset utilization and drive improvements in operations, workforce planning, resource allocation, and data-driven decision-making.

The platform will be compatible with devices developed by SECO for Hitachi Energy, as well as existing hardware and third-party devices. This hardware-agnostic approach facilitates large-scale adoption of the IoT solution and simplifies the retrofitting of assets already in the field.
