Tesla is recalling 218,868 vehicles in the U.S. to fix an issue with possible delays in the rearview camera image.

The U.S. electric-vehicle maker has issued an over-the-air software update for free to correct the problem, which affects some Model 3, Model Y, Model S and Model X vehicles operating software version 2026.8.6, the National Highway Safety Administration said in a notice dated Tuesday.

The rearview camera image may be delayed when the vehicles are placed in reverse, the NHTSA added.

Tesla didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
