Apple has announced the addition of 4 new partners—Bosch, Cirrus Logic, TDK, and Qnity Electronics—to its US supply chain. The group plans to invest $400m by 2030 to support the domestic production of strategic components under its American Manufacturing Program. This initiative is part of a broader $600bn 4-year commitment aimed at strengthening innovation and industrial capacity within the United States.

The new partners will play a pivotal role in manufacturing essential components. TDK will produce iPhone camera sensors, Bosch will manufacture integrated circuits at a TSMC facility in Washington State, and Cirrus Logic will develop semiconductors with GlobalFoundries in New York. Qnity Electronics is set to provide materials and technologies related to semiconductors and high-performance computing. Apple also continues to collaborate with major players such as TSMC in Arizona and GlobalFoundries.

Since the program's inception, Apple has already exceeded its initial targets, with over 20 billion chips produced across 24 plants in 12 states. Notably, the group expects to procure more than 100 million advanced chips from TSMC's Arizona site in 2026. This strategy is designed to enhance supply chain resilience and reduce foreign dependency, as the company has already absorbed approximately $3.3bn in tariff-related costs.
