Crédit Agricole S.A. today formalized the launch of its annual reserved capital increase for employees. Part of the group's policy to involve staff in the institution's financial performance, this initiative is open to more than 190,000 eligible employees and retirees worldwide.
For this 2026 edition, the banking giant is offering attractive terms: the subscription price for new shares will include a 20% discount on the arithmetic mean of Crédit Agricole S.A. opening share prices, calculated over the period from May 26 to June 22, 2026 inclusive. The subscription period will run from June 24 to July 8, and the issuance of new shares will take place on August 27, 2026.
These new securities will be immediately eligible for the dividend paid in respect of the 2026 fiscal year. Subscribers will thus be able to receive an initial interim dividend as early as October 2026.
A 96 million euro envelope with no dilutive effect for the market
The operation provides for the issuance of a maximum of 32 million shares, representing a nominal amount of 96 million euros.
To reassure current shareholders and prevent a decline in share value on the market, Crédit Agricole S.A. specified that this capital increase will be coupled with a share buyback program. This mechanism will fully neutralize the dilutive effect of the issuance, subject to receiving the green light from the European Central Bank (ECB).
