The Stockholm Stock Exchange opened Wednesday's session on a mixed note, mirroring a similar trend across major European markets. Brent crude oil is trading largely unchanged at around 95 dollars per barrel.
As of 09:21 CET, the OMXS30 index was flat at 3,131.18. Shares worth approximately 1.7 billion SEK had changed hands on the Stockholm bourse.
Energy led the gains among major industrial sectors, rising 0.67 percent. At the other end of the spectrum, the industrial sector lagged slightly, down 0.01 percent.
Among the blue-chip constituents of the OMXS30 index, AstraZeneca rose 0.9 percent, while Ericsson B gained 0.7 percent. Saab B saw the weakest performance, falling 1.2 percent, while Hexagon B shed 0.4 percent.
The earnings season continued to unfold during the morning hours.
IT reseller Dustin reported second-quarter revenue that exceeded expectations. Operating profit came in at 42 million SEK, perfectly in line with Bloomberg consensus. Adjusted EBITA amounted to 103 million SEK, compared to 110 million SEK last year. Dustin shares surged 10.1 percent.
Several investment firms presented interim reports this morning, including Öresund, which saw its net asset value (NAV) increase by 9.4 percent to 127 SEK during the first quarter. At the end of February, the level stood at 130 SEK. Öresund rose 3.5 percent.
Another investment firm reporting figures was VEF, which fell 5.9 percent. At the end of the quarter, NAV per share stood at 0.40 dollars, down from 0.43 dollars at the turn of the year.
In other news, payment services provider Qliro announced that its rights issue was oversubscribed by approximately 189 percent, according to preliminary results. This provides the company with roughly 60 million SEK before transaction costs. Qliro shares dipped 0.3 percent.
Negotiations regarding the pricing of BioArctic's Alzheimer's drug Lecanemab (Leqembi) have stalled. Swedish regions consider the price too high and are unwilling to subsidize the treatment, according to Sveriges Radio. BioArctic rose 0.4 percent.
