SAP SE (XTRA:SAP) entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Prior Labs GmbH on May 4, 2026. Prior Labs will continue to operate as an independent entity. After the close, SAP and Prior Labs plan to turn top AI research into enterprise-ready innovation, allowing customers to get even more value out of their tabular business data.
The Prior Labs cofounders Frank Hutter, Noah Hollmann and Sauraj Gambhir with leading scientists, including Yann LeCun and Bernhard Schoelkopf joining the scientific advisory board.
The transaction is expected to close in Q2 or Q3 of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.
