Uber Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:UBER) entered into an agreement to acquire 4.50% stake in Delivery Hero SE (XTRA:DHER) from Prosus N.V. (ENXTAM:PRX) for approximately ?270 million on April 17, 2026. A cash consideration of ?271.65 million valued at ?20 per share will be paid by Uber Technologies, Inc. As part of consideration, ?271.65 million is paid towards common equity of Delivery Hero SE. Upon completion of the transaction, Prosus?s interest in Delivery Hero will decrease from 26.3% to 21.8% of the issued share capital.
Prosus N.V. is a global consumer internet group and one of the largest technology investors in the world. Net sales by activity break down as follows:
- management of e-commerce platforms (39.8%; eMAG);
- management of mobile and electronic payment platforms (21.7%; PayU);
- management of online meal ordering and delivery platforms (21.6%; Delivery Hero, Swiggy and iFood);
- classified ad platform management (12.8%);
- online education platform management (2.8%; Stack Overflow, Skillsoft and GoodHabitz);
- other (1.3%).
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Europe (59.8%), Latin America (25.5%), India (10.7%), Asia (0.9%), North America (2%) and other (1.1%).
