Vinci confirmed its forecasts for the year after a slight decrease in first-quarter revenue and despite uncertainty over the potential impact of the war in Iran.
The French construction and infrastructure company on Thursday said revenue for the period fell 0.3% on-year to 16.28 billion euros ($19.05 billion) on a reported basis. On a like-for-like basis, revenue was down 0.5%.
The result fell short of analysts' expectations of 16.61 billion euros, according to consensus estimates provided by Visible Alpha.
Vinci's order intake climbed 5% to 17.4 billion euros, while its order book reached a new record of 74.9 billion euros at the end of March.
In France, revenue fell 2% to 6.97 billion euros, while outside of France revenue increased 1.1% to 9.31 billion euros.
Vinci said the results marked a solid start to the year and stuck to its 2026 guidance, noting that the potential impact from the Iran war can't be assessed yet.
It said it had confidence in growing demand for electrification and digitalization infrastructure, driven by a push for more sovereignty in several regions.
