SINGAPORE, Sept 5 (Reuters) - Thailand's PTT expects annual LNG regasification capacity to rise to about 30 million metric tons by the end of the decade, up from 19 million tons currently, a company executive told the Gastech conference on Tuesday.

Thailand's gas consumption stood at close to 4.8 billion cubic feet per day, M.L. Peekthong Thongyai, senior vice president for PTT's gas business unit, said at the conference.

The company is looking to diversify liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports and reduce pricing risks by buying from different locations and using a variety of benchmarks, the executive said. (Reporting by Florence Tan and Chen Aizhu; Editing by Christian Schmollinger)
